The music itself is the essence, but only the packaging, its connection to ideas, identities and worlds of images makes it Pop music. It’s not only Diedrich Diederichsen who knows this, Mark Farrow and Scott King know it too. Farrow was named the »best currently active graphics designer« by an incorruptible expert jury. He was responsible for the Posters of the legendary club Haçienda in Manchester and worked with the Pet Shop Boys, Kylie, and Burt Bacharach. Farrow’s colleague Scott was an art director of the defining magazine »i-D« and designed for Malcolm McLaren, Morrissey, and Suicide. He currently serves as Professor of Visual Communication at London University of the Arts. Moreover, King created the corporate design for »Pop-Kultur«. The two Brits now come together to talk about design and form in Pop culture.
